Where4ArtThou - finding service.

One thing which we have an established expertise in here at Where4ArtThou is sourcing sold-out or hard to find artwork for our customers, and that's partly the expertise upon which we've based our name, Where4ArtThou.

We have a number of customers who have come to us, asking if we can source them a certain print. Sometime we have it in stock, sometime we know a seller who has one, and sometimes we ask around a group of galleries or secondary market sellers. To date we have not been asked for something that we could not source from somewhere or other, (although on the downside, sometimes budget has occasionally been an issue).

Because we can use our wide network of suppliers to source artwork, we have now extended that service to cover any items of artwork, not just the sold out hard to find items. So if you've seen an item you want but want us to try and find it at a lower price - we can do that too.

We've now made it even easier for our visitors to request us to source a picture. Simply fill in the form below specifying as much as you feel you need to, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

There are two levels at which we can help someone out who wishes to purchase an item. At the gold level, you opt to buy the delivered product. At the silver level you buy the information only.

Option 1 - Gold Service

  • We establish a source for the item at the lowest price we can find
  • We authorize payment from buyer, i.e. take card details
  • Within 7 days, we take receipt of the item from the supplier
  • We inspect item for perfect condition and check exactly as requested, validate certificate of authenticity, etc
  • We take payment from buyer's card
  • We dispatch the item
Option 2 - Silver Service
  • We establish one or more sources for the item at the lowest price we can find
  • We check with the buyer as to whether the price is acceptable.
  • We take a non-refundable 5% of that price from the buyer
  • We furnish the buyer with details of the source
  • The buyer then completes the sale direct with the supplier and Where4ArtThou are no longer involved and take no responsibility for any transaction entered into as a result of any information we supply.
The relative costs of the services are as follows, but the buyer will always know the full cost in advance of any payment:

The Gold Service means more effort on our part. The price we will charge for the item will be a reasonable market rate, taking into account the price we can source the picture at, the price of the picture elsewhere on the market, combined with our markup fee for the service.

The Silver Service means that the buyer pays 5% over and above the lowest price we can source the item for. If the supplier does not deal directly with the public we will resort to the Gold Service, and notify the customer accordingly.

In neither the Gold, nor the Silver service, will the customer pay a penny if they choose not to go ahead with the purchase.

Please Note : For obvious reasons we will not usually be able to provide the Finding Service on any item which we are currently listing for sale in our own online store.
